SVI Refurb upgraded this Type 6 Wildland apparatus for Crook Fire Protection District. They repaired a damaged toolbox, added a cage on the driver's side, and removed the rear bumper step. This allowed firefighters to safely operate a hose while moving and created an intuitive rig for the demands of the job. They also relocated the driver-side toolbox to the passenger side to save time and money for the department by reducing downtime and fabrication costs. Below you can see some of the steps taken to make this a true refurb overhaul from a simple damaged toolbox.
