nfpa 1912 guidelines

standard for FIRE APPARATUS refurbishing

Before your department upgrades or refurbishes any fire apparatus, we can help guide you through the latest NPFA guidelines, including NFPA 1912: Standard for Fire Apparatus Refurbishing. These provisions apply to any department, whether the refurbishing is completed at department or municipal maintenance facilities, or at service center or apparatus manufacturer’s facilities. Not only will these guidelines help you maintain your vehicles and pass annual inspections, but these guidelines will keep your crews safe and could potentially help your department save money through smarter purchasing. Throughout this website (at the bottom of most pages), we’ve highlighted key standards that you may want to reference as you plan your refurb.
