SVI Refurb transforms this commercial van into a Search and Rescue Command Center

the command center transformation

Larimer County Search and Rescue (LCSAR) tasked SVI Refurb with converting this Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, a light commercial vehicle, into a mobile command center. The SVI Refurb team fabricated a computer-friendly desk with shelving unit, USB and HDMI ports and a 4-foot power strip. SVI Refurb then fitted the command center with netting to protect the equipment and gear. The apparatus has 180° swivel chairs for easy access to the vehicles rear compartment. The van was fitted with a custom fabricated limb guard to protect the roof's AC/heating unit, solar panels and Starlink satellite internet systems. These upgrades and additions will help the Larimer County Search and Rescue with its mission — "to find the lost, rescue the stranded and injured, recover the deceased and educate the public on wilderness and mountain safety."
